Development on the next installment to the longest-running PlayStation-exclusive franchise appears to be coming along smoothly. According to Twisted Metal creator, David Jaffe, the cinematics for the vehicular combat title are 100% complete.

Slated for a Valentine’s Day 2012 release the guys and gals at EatSleepPlay will likely be spending most of the days and weeks ahead fine tuning the game.

Jaffe also revealed that we can expect a demo for Twisted Metal close to or shortly after the game launches in North America next February. However he reiterated that there will be no public beta for TM.

Regarding how the new Twisted Metal compares to its previous installments Jaffe stated that “many folks who played the new twisted say it feels like old twisted but for new generation.”
