Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. is proud to announce that a contract has been signed with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to bring to video game media the AFC Champions League, the tournament that decides Asia’s greatest club team.
Konami greatly anticipates showing the AFC Champions League through the ultra-realistic graphics of the next title in the Winning Eleven series. The game, which will be released worldwide, will also feature a new mode in which users can take control of the various teams that compete in the AFC Champions League.
The Winning Eleven series holds a wide range of soccer licenses from around the world, notably that of Europe’s club team championship, the UEFA Champions League. As international soccer games, the series’ numerous titles have been awarded high acclaim not only in Japan but also worldwide, making the series the perfect opportunity to deliver the intense action of the competition to be Asia’s number one club to soccer fans everywhere.
