Battlefield 3 Will Look Outstanding On PS3

An engine as technologically complex as Frostbite 2.0 cannot be fully utilized on consoles, no matter how good the hardware is.

That’s the naked truth when you consider that Battlefield 3 will look superior on its lead platform – PC – when compared to its console counterparts.

That should not dilute the quality of Battlefield 3’s presentation on console, because it’s still shaping up to be one of the most visually impressive console shooters on the market.

Truth be told, no matter how concerned you are about how Battlefield 3 will look on PlayStation 3, the fact remains that it will hardly look all that different from the PC version.

The argument that it will be displayed in “sub-HD” is downright incorrect: Battlefield 3 was showcased at E3 on PlayStation 3 with a resolution of 1280x704 with MLAA, while running at 30fps.

That’s HD, not “sub-HD”. You can also throw upscalling out the window, as the final game will only be missing 16 pixels. Simply put, it’s not sub-HD if it isn’t scaled, and it’s not in any way.

DICE will be using black bars on the top and bottom, each with 8 pixels. This contributes to the visual quality remaining at (or similar to) 720p.

Fans of DICE’s Battlefield 3 will be pleased to learn a new Collector’s Edition has been added to EB Games Australia pre-order list, Battlefield 3: Physical Warfare Edition.

The Battlefield 3 Limited Edition: Physical Warfare Pack was previously announced by EA as being available in Europe but up until now hasn’t been announced for Australia.

Sa Limited Edition dobijas DLC sa 4 mape iz BF2 i neka 2,3 oruzja. Uglavnom to ce se placati posle 10-tak evra.

To sam i ja pomislio, deluje prenadrkano u odnosu na druge klase ali koliko se vidi iz vesti, nece biti overpowered jer ce postojati customization, znaci moraces da balansiras, ako hoces dobrog medica bice ti slabiji firepower, tj assault part, i obrnuto.
